Update on Watercress and Winterbournes project

The Candover Stream, a winterbourne which runs through the Candover Valley during the early months of the year following winter rainfalls, is part of a study programme of the chalk streams in Hampshire.  The programme was conceived and initiated by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust two years ago and a programme of studies is being carried out on several rivers and streams in central Hampshire.

Please see below for an update on the Watercress and Winterbournes chalk stream study programme from Maggie Shelton, the Watercress and Winterbournes Community Catchments Officer of the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust.  She can be contacted directly by emailing: Maggie.Shelton@hiwwt.org.uk
