Candover Valley Pre-School

The Candover Valley Pre-School is located in the heart of the beautiful Candover Valley, within the grounds of Preston Candover Primary School. It offers Monday – Friday day care for Pre-School children from the age of 2 years. It is a registered charity and managed by an elected committee of parents to ensure that major decision-making is in the hands of the parents who use the pre-school.

The Pre-School is affiliated with the Pre-school Learning Alliance and is registered with Hampshire County Council Services for Young Children and with Ofsted. The last two Osfted inspections in 2007 and 2010 were graded as “Outstanding”.

Within a well-maintained facility the Pre-School team provide a stimulating environment in which young children play and learn. There is good provision for arts and crafts, discovery play, cooking, and other activities, and the landscaped garden offers space for the children to grow flowers and plant seeds, as well as play in the open air which is so important for young children’s development. Where possible children are offered the opportunity to visit local farms and go on woodland walks to enhance their pre-school learning experience.
